Product Line Director – Affluent Wealth Management

As the Product Line Director for Affluent Wealth Management you will lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of the AWM product line, empowering retail banks, IFAs, and insurance companies to digitize and scale wealth management for affluent client segments across DACH and the UK. The role is accountable for product P&L, roadmap execution, and compelling client and stakeholder experiences. The Director leverages deep market knowledge, regulatory expertise, and operational know-how to create innovative, compliant, and competitive digital solutions.

Your role and responsibility

Key responsibilities:

Define and refine the strategic vision and long-term roadmap for the Affluent Wealth Management product line, aligning with company goals and market demands in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and the UK.
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: market/competitor analysis, ideation, requirements, delivery, and go-to-market execution, ensuring digital-first, scalable, and regulatory-compliant solutions.
Gather, analyse, and prioritize customer, advisor, and business needs through interviews, platform data, and research, and translate these into actionable product requirements and user-centric journeys.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, regulatory and compliance, marketing, sales, and customer success to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
Drive operational excellence and profitability of the product line, monitoring KPIs, identifying growth opportunities, setting pricing strategies, and optimizing portfolio performance.
Ensure alignment with all regulatory frameworks (MiFID II, FIDLEG/FINMA, WpHG, SFDR), and steer ongoing compliance automation across markets.
Act as the internal and external evangelist for the AWM product vision, representing Etops with clients, industry bodies, and regulators, and supporting business development and commercial success.
Maintain close monitoring of competitive and technological trends, proactively adapting the roadmap to ensure market leadership and innovation in digital onboarding, ESG, advisory, and client engagement.

Your experience and profile

We are looking for:

Extensive product, platform, or line management experience in wealth management, retail banking, or financial technology within the DACH region/Europe.
Deep understanding of affluent/retail client needs, with knowledge of relevant regulatory and operational frameworks (including MiFID II, FIDLEG, and local German/Swiss regulations).
Track record of managing successful, multi-market digital product launches, platform migrations, or scalable SaaS products for financial services.
Demonstrated commercial mindset, P&L responsibility, and data-driven decision-making aptitude.
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; confident engaging C-level clients and regulators in German and English.
Academic background in business, finance, computer science, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
